Porch Perchin’ Pinot
2023 Monterey County Pinot Noir
A laid-back charmer that’ll have ya parked on the porch and sippin’ ‘til the hound dogs come home!
TASTING NOTES
Enticing aromas of cherry cola layered with dark berry notes and a touch of vanilla and spice fill the glass, recalling the sweetness of a freshly baked blackberry pie. The palate is filled with a soft and concentrated mouthfeel that is smooth and velvety. The jammy fruit flavors evoke a sense of warmth and richness through the finish and is complimented with subtle notes of roasted coffee from its brief time in oak.
ABOUT MONTEREY COUNTY
Monterey Wine Country has a rich history that dates back to 1771. The region’s long growing season allows grapes to fully mature and develop their maximum potential. Additionally, the rich, varied soils—from sandy loams to clay—further contribute to the complexity and character of the wines produced here. Misty mornings, warm days, windy afternoons, and cool evenings blend to grow premium, food friendly wine.
FOOD PAIRING
Pinot pairs wonderfully with roasted duck—its gaminess enhances the wine’s complexity. Salmon with a light herb crust is another winner, as the fish’s richness balances the wine’s acidity. For a veggie option, mushroom risotto enhances the earthy side of this varietal.
