Cactus Bloom
2023 Monterey County Pinot Grigio
Almost as dry as a desert, and darn near flirtin’ with ya with those pretty floral notes!
TASTING NOTES
This wine is lively with an enticing bouquet of vibrant, aromatic notes of tropical fruit and delicate floral nuances with ripe guava, backed by hints of ripe pear. On the palate, the wine is light-bodied and refreshingly crisp, with a bright, mouthwatering acidity that gives it excellent balance and energy. The finish is clean and refreshing, with lingering citrus and floral notes that invite another sip.
ABOUT MONTEREY COUNTY
Monterey Wine Country has a rich history that dates back to 1771. The region’s long growing season allows grapes to fully mature and develop their maximum potential. Additionally, the rich, varied soils—from sandy loams to clay—further contribute to the complexity and character of the wines produced here. Misty mornings, warm days, windy afternoons, and cool evenings blend to grow premium, food friendly wine.
FOOD PAIRING
Pinot Grigio pairs well with many foods, but we particularly like it with light seafood dishes like shrimp cocktail, ceviche, grilled calamari, even fish tacos, or with a nice slow roasted chicken.
